You might recall our launch of Australia’s largest ever-built satellite, Optimus, which has opened up new possibilities for how satellites are launched and operated. We believe it will transform the economics of space infrastructure. As the foundational asset in our architecture of servicing vehicles designed to repair, refuel, upgrade and relocate other satellites, Optimus enables us to provide services to extend satellite lifetimes, reduce space debris, and sustainably scale space activities to new heights.
Our partnerships have been instrumental in driving both Space Machine Company’s growth and strengthening Australia’s space industry. Our most recent partnership has been with The Space MAITRI project, funded by an $8.5 million grant from the Australian Government through the Australian Space Agency, which is part of the International Space Investment India Projects (ISI India Projects) program. This project is part of the ongoing International Space Investment India Projects program, fostering collaboration between Australian and Indian space agencies to advance space exploration and technology beyond the stars.

India Space Congress 2024
India Space Congress: Bridging Boundaries, Transforming Tomorrow. Join the pinnacle event in space exploration and collaboration, held in New Delhi from June 26th to 28th for the third consecutive year. The Congress gathers industry leaders to foster collaboration and investment in India's burgeoning space sector.

Introducing HEO Robotics 🤖
Heo Robotics was a payload customer onboard Optimus’ launch in March which provided space domain awareness cameras for monitoring objects in space. This contributed to improving situational awareness and collision avoidance measures during Optimus’ journey.
HEO works with Earth observation constellations while launching its own space telescopes (Holmes and Adler) to image objects beyond Earth. Their goal is to place these telescopes in various orbits around Earth and the Moon!
The Space MAITRI mission partnered with HEO Robotics which will use the improved Holmes Mk2 imager to track and identify objects in orbit, from debris to operational satellites. This will allow for safe proximity operations and improve our understanding of the space environment!

This will be the first Australian spacecraft to which we will have been able to add our already qualified camera, which is a game changer for Australian government customers to get access to. AusSpace Summit is back
Our CEO, Rajat Kulshrestha, recently joined the panel "Navigating AUKUS – Strengthening Aerospace Ties between Australia, the UK, and the US" at AusSpace earlier this month.
Late last year, the AUKUS coalition announced new deep space radars to be built in all three countries, starting with the first in WA. This marks the moment AUKUS expanded beyond submarines to space.
The panel dissected the implications of the monumental AUKUS alliance on the Australian aerospace industry in the context of evolving ties with the UK and the US Defence Force.
